Why You Need To Become An Overachiever

You are very lucky, fellow superhero, to live in at time where it is incredibly easy to grow a business. With just a laptop and an internet connection you can attract customers from all over the world. You can build your empire from your bedroom, if you wanted to.

But your competition is not only the Bakers and Johnsons next door, but the whole world. That means you need strong values, hard focus and a lot of discipline to overachieve.

How do you build all of that simultaneously (= in the most effective way), you ask?

It´s easy. Just find something you are good at and work hard to become the best. Better than the average person and better than your competition. It doesn´t matter if you like what you do. As soon as you start to become successful, you will start to love whatever you do. Your passions are developed throughout life, not ingrained at birth.

Once you have found out what you are good at, focus on helping a single person first. If you can solve that person´s problem, you can help solve a million person´s problems. Most businesses can be upscaled in one way or another, so don´t worry about that yet. When you are ready, you will be able to find a solution.

There will always be obstacles in your life. You need determination and creativity to overcome every single one on your way to success. It is absolutely necessary to develop an obsession with what you want. Learn as much as you can. Spend as much time as possible thinking about your goal. Everything else comes after that.

Your daily habits have to reflect your goals. If you want to get strong, you better be in the gym six times a week. If you want to have a great relationship with your spouse and children, you better spend a lot of time with them and talk about problems in your family. If you want to be the best dancer in the world, you better practice every day with different mentors.

Learn to get your priorities straight. Once you have a goal, you shouldn´t get discouraged by temporary failure. If it is your priority to achieve your goal, rather than avoid loss or failure, you will act accordingly and not give up easily.

If you never give up, you are already better than the average. You are overachieving, because most other humans are afraid to fail. But failing is easy. Only not getting discouraged by failure is hard.

Don´t set low standards for yourself. If most people give up after failing three times, it should be your standard to only give up after you failed three hundred times! If most people think a million dollars is all they need, set your standard that only 10 million dollars is all you need.

Don´t try to become one of the best, shoot for becoming THE BEST. Because even if you fail becoming the best, you will still be one of the best and therefore crazy successful.

Taking risks is absolutely necessary for success. Trying to avoid loss is the best way to become an average person. Did you want to become an average person when you were a kid? I bet, you didn´t! That´s the spirit you need as an adult. The spirit to overachieve, rather than settle for what you have.

We only congratulate the winners of the race, not the losers. You look up to your idol because they are NOT average! You share 99.999% of their genetics. YOU can be exceptional as well. The only thing that´s stopping you here in the western world is your own laziness. Overachieving is hard work.

Just be glad that too many people settle with being average. They always talk about how they want to be great, but they never even try. I guess, that´s what makes them average.

But YOU don´t have to be average. Take the steps needed to achieve greatness. Nothing can stop you, so stay strong, fellow superhero!
